Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:

The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on July 24, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on
July 25, 2014:


Animal Control Officers responded to the area of Boulder Drive, in regards to a report of two dogs at large. Animal Control Officers located the dogs that were turned over to the owner.

Officers were dispatched to the intersection of Uinta Drive and East 4th South, in reference to a two vehicle crash. One driver was issued a citation for failure to yield the right of way at a stop sign.

Animal Control Officers responded to the area of Commerce Way, in regards to a report of a dog at large. Animal Control Officers located a white medium sized dog that was turned over to the owner.

Officers responded to an address on Uinta Drive, in reference to a medical call.

Officers delivered court paperwork to an address on Wind River Drive.

Animal Control Officers responded to the area of South 3rd East, in regards to a report of a dog at large. The dog was described as a German Shepard with a blue collar.

Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Hitching Post Drive.

Officers responded to an address on South Center Street, regarding a parking complaint. It was reported a vehicle was parked on the sidewalk.

Officers responded to an address on West Teton Boulevard, regarding a civil standby.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Bridger Drive, in reference to report of a disturbance. Upon arrival, Officers advised the individuals causing the disturbance left the area.

Officers responded to the area west of River View Drive, in regards to a report of a suspicious vehicle.

Officers responded to the Green River Police Department lobby, in reference to a report of fraud. The reporting party stated they received a check in the mail and was told by the bank it was fraudulent.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Uinta Drive, in regards to a report of accidental damage. Officers completed a report about the incident.

Officers attempted to locate a vehicle described in a REDDI report on Cumorah Way.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Homestead Drive, in reference to a report of unauthorized use of a credit card. The reporting party stated there were numerous unauthorized charges on their debit card even though they still physically had the card in their possession.

Officers were dispatched to the intersection of East Teton Boulevard and Bridger Drive, in reference to a two vehicle crash. One driver was issued a citation for failure to yield right of way.

Officers were dispatched to the area of Indian Hills Drive, in reference to a noise complaint. The reporting party heard a loud noise. Officers checked the area and reported everything was okay.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Uinta Drive, in reference to a report of a hit and run vehicle crash and a disturbance. Upon further investigation by Officers, Lonnie Moffitt, age 39, was arrested for Driving While Under the Influence of Alcohol and received two addition traffic citations.

Officers responded to an address on East Flaming Gorge Way, in regards to a request for a subject removal. The individual left the property prior to Officers arrival.

Lacey Skeans, age 33, was arrested per an active Sweetwater County Warrant for Unlawful Taking of Motor Vehicle Fuel.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Hillside Drive, in reference to a report of a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, Officers contacted the individual and confirmed with the homeowner the individual was allowed to be at the property.

Officers responded to an address on Uinta Drive, in regards to a report of a juvenile problem. The reporting party observed juveniles climb on the roof of a building.

Officers took a report of vandalism at an address on West Flaming Gorge Way. The reporting party stated they were assaulted and the vehicle they were driving was damaged. A report was completed about the incident.
