Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:
The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on July 31, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on
August 1, 2014:
Officers responded to an address on Sundance Drive, in regards to a parking complaint. Officers contacted the owner of the vehicle and addressed the complaint.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Alamosa Circle, in reference to a fire alarm. Officers reported the alarm was accidental.
Officers assisted Green River Fire Department personnel at an address on Birch Street, in reference to an alarm. It was reported steam activated the fire alarm.
Offices assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on East 4th South.
Officers responded to an address on Hitching Post Drive, in regards to an alarm testing.
Officers responded to the Green River Police Department lobby, in reference to a report of identity theft. The reporting party stated another individual was included to their IRS file that should not be.
Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Logan Street, regarding a found dog. Animal Control Officers located the Labrador and took it to the Green River Animal Shelter.
Officers were dispatched to the area of Logan Street, in reference to a report of littering. Officers contacted an individual who advised they would clean up the litter.
Officers were dispatched to an address on California Drive, in reference to an alarm. Upon arrival, Officers contacted the resident who advised the alarm was accidently set off.
Officers completed VIN inspections at the Green River Police Department.
Officers responded to an address on Colorado Drive, in regards to a report of vandalism. The reporting party stated an unknown person threw an egg at a vehicle at the address.
Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Schultz Street, in reference to two, small found dogs. The owner of the dogs arrived at the address and retrieved the dogs.
Animal Control Officers responded to an address on East 2nd North, regarding a found bat.
Animal Control Officers responded to Western Wyoming Green River Campus, in reference snake call. Animal Control Officers located and removed the snake.
Officers were dispatched to an address on West Teton Boulevard, in regards to a report of a juvenile problem. The reporting party stated juveniles were throwing water balloons at vehicles driving by.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Alabama Drive, in reference to a fire alarm. Upon arrival, Officers advised there was a fire alarm company at the address and everything was okay.
Officers responded to an address on Uinta Drive, in reference to an alarm. Officers spoke with the business and reported everything was okay.
Officers were dispatched to an address on North 3rd East, regarding an emergency lockout. A small child was accidently locked in the vehicle. Officers were able to unlock the door and the child was okay.
Officers responded to the area of Uinta Drive and Shoshone, in regards to a report of a two vehicle crash. One driver was issued a citation for Failure to Yield When Entering from Private Roadway.
Officers responded to an address on West 2nd North, regarding a medical call.
Officers were dispatched to an address on East 3rd South, in reference to an agency assist. Officers assisted Wyoming Department of Family Services on a welfare check at the residence.
Officers responded to the area of Monroe Avenue, in regards to a report of a suspicious person.
Officers responded to an address on Uinta Drive, regarding a civil standby involving a custody exchange.
Officers were dispatched to an address on North 1st East, in reference to a parking complaint. Officers tagged the vehicle for a parking violation.
Animal Control Officers responded to an address on South 5th East, in regards to an animal call.
Officers were dispatched to an address on West Flaming Gorge Way, in reference to a 911 hang up call. Upon arrival, Officers contacted the individual who called 911 and determined the call was accidental.
Officers responded to an address on East 2nd North, in regards to a parking complaint. Officers contacted the owner of the vehicle who was given a warning.
Animal Control Officers responded to the area of Wilson Street, in reference to a report of a dog at large. The dog was described as a Rottweiler.
Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Maryland Drive, in regards to a found dog. Animal Control Officers located a black Labrador.
Officers responded to an address on Wilkes Drive, in reference to a welfare check. Officers spoke with the resident and completed a report on the incident.
Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Wilderness Trail, in regards to a report of a dog at large.
Officers responded to the area of Juniper Street, in reference to a noise complaint. Officers contacted a group of juveniles who were advised of the complaint.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Uinta Drive, in reference to an alarm. Officers checked the area and reported and everything looked okay.
