Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:

The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.


The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on August 8, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on August 9, 2014:

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on South 5th East, in regards to cat in a trap.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Uinta Drive, in regards to a report of a dog at large. The dog was described as a German Shepherd.

Officers responded to an address on Bridger Drive, in reference to a report of vandalism. The reporting parting party stated their vehicle was damaged during the previous night.

Officers completed VIN inspections at the Green River Police Department and at addresses on: West 3rd North, Adams Street, East 5th South, Alamosa Circle and Bridger Drive.

Officers responded to an address on East Flaming Gorge Way, regarding a citizen assist involving property.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to the area of Powell Street, in reference to a report of a dog at large. The dog was described as a Labrador mix and was taken to the Green River Animal Shelter.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Uinta Drive, in reference to a hit and run vehicle crash. It was reported after a two vehicle collision one vehicle left the location.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Logan Street, in reference to a report of a cat stuck under a house.

Officers were dispatched to the area of West Teton Boulevard, in reference to a report of a two vehicle crash. One of the drivers was issued a citation for Inattentive Driving.

Officers responded to an address on Uinta Drive, in regards to a report of a traffic complaint. Officers spoke with the involved parties.

Officers assisted a motorist on Uinta Drive.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Saratoga Drive, in regards to a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, Officers determined a verbal dispute occurred.

Animal Control Officers responded to the area of Pheasant Drive, regarding a report of a dog at large. The dog was located and taken to the Green River Animal Shelter.

Officers responded to an address on Jensen Street, in regards to a report of a violation of a court order. Officers completed a report about the incident.

Officers spoke with a resident by telephone that had questions regarding an eviction.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Uinta Drive, in reference to a report of a suspicious person. Officers contacted the individual and determined everything was okay.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Wind River Drive, in regards to a report of a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with involved parties and determined a verbal dispute occurred.

Officers responded to an address on Evers Street, in regards to a report of a dog at large. The dog was described as a Chocolate Labrador with a pink collar.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Cumorah Way, in reference to an animal call. The reporting party had concerns about how a dog was being treated.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Schultz Street, in regards to a cat in a trap.

Officers responded to an address on Hitching Post Drive, regarding a medical call.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Cumorah Way, in reference to a report of a disturbance. Officers reported a verbal dispute occurred at the residence.

Officers responded to an address on East Teton Boulevard, in regards to a juvenile problem. Officers contacted the individuals who were advised of curfew.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Brandner Circle, in reference to a vehicle collision. Upon arrival, it was reported a vehicle struck a parked and unoccupied vehicle. Upon further investigation, Caycee Woods, age 19, was arrested for Driving While Under the Influence of Alcohol.

Officers responded to an address on West Teton Boulevard, regarding a medical call.

The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on August 9, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on
August 10, 2014:

Officers responded to an address on Crossbow Drive, regarding a medical call.

Officers spoke with a resident over the phone that had questions regarding a protection order.

Animal Control Officers responded to the area of Stratton Myer Park, in regards to a report of two dogs at large. The dogs were described as white pit bulls.

Officers responded to an address on West Flaming Gorge Way, in regards to a report of a hit and run vehicle crash. The reporting party stated their vehicle was hit during the previous night.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on Hoback Street, regarding a barking dog complaint.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Uinta Drive, in reference to report of a disturbance. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with the reporting party who stated an assault occurred earlier but the other party left the property. Officers completed a report regarding the incident.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Trona Drive, in regard to a report of a missing person. The individual returned to the residence the following day and was reported to be okay.

Officers responded to an address on West 4th North, regarding a parking complaint. Officers addressed the parking complaint and the vehicle was moved.

Officers responded to an address on Mansface Street, in reference to an agency assist.

Officers were dispatched to an address on South Center Street, in reference to a 911 hang up call. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with the resident who reported a disturbance and wanted a trespass warning issued to an individual for the property.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on East 3rd South, regarding two dogs at large. The dogs were described as a medium sized tan dog and a pit bull.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Bridger Drive, in regards to a welfare check. Officers checked the welfare of the individuals and addressed the concern with a parent.

Officers responded to an address on West Flaming Gorge Way, regarding found property. A purse was found and turned into the Green River Police Department.

Officers responded to an address on South 2nd East, regarding found property. Officers located the owner and returned the property.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Virginia Drive, in reference to a civil standby. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with parties involved concerning a juvenile problem and completed a report regarding the incident.

Officers responded to the area of Cumorah Way, in regards to a report of a juvenile problem. The reporting party stated juveniles were shooting bb guns near vehicles in the area.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Bridger Drive, in reference to a report of malicious mischief. Officers spoke with the reporting party and completed a report regarding the incident.

Officers were dispatched to the area of West 3rd South, in regards to a welfare check on a suspicious person. Officers checked on the individual and reported everything was okay.

Officers were dispatched to an address on South 5th West, in regards to a report of a suspicious vehicle. The reporting party observed a vehicle parked in an alley with a door open and no one around. Officers contacted the owner of the vehicle who reported everything was okay and they accidently left the door open.

Officers responded to an address on Barnhart Street, in reference to a report of a vicious animal.

Officers attempted to locate a vehicle described in a traffic complaint. It was reported a juvenile in the vehicle threw an egg out of the vehicle.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Apache Avenue, in reference to a welfare check. Officers checked on the individual and reported they were okay.

Jennifer Aragon, age 39, was arrested per an active Sweetwater County Warrant on an original charge of Stalking.

Officers were dispatched to an address on West Railroad Avenue, in reference to a suspicious person. Officers spoke with the reporting party and the individual who caused the disturbance.

Officer responded to an address on East 4th South, in reference to an alarm. Officer checked the property and reported everything was secure.

Officers responded to addresses on North 1st East, East 3rd South and West Railroad Avenue, in reference to unsecured properties. Officers checked the properties and attempted to contact responsible parties for the properties.


The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on August 10, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on August 11, 2014:

Officers were dispatched to the area of Scott’s Bottom Road, in regards to a report of littering. Upon arrival, Officers noticed numerous items of trash dumped in the area. Officers completed a report about the incident.

Officers completed a VIN inspection at an address on Hawaii Court and Tennessee Drive.

Officers responded to an address on Hutton Street, in regards to a parking complaint. It was reported a trailer was parked blocking a gate.

Officers were dispatched to the area of Stephens Street, in regards to a traffic complaint. The reporting party stated young kids were riding ATV’s in the area. Officers checked the area and could not locate the ATV’s.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Alabama Drive, regarding an animal call.

Officers were dispatched to an address on West Flaming Gorge Way, in reference to a citizen assist. The reporting party stated their child was accidently locked in a vehicle. Officers were able to unlock the door and reported the child was okay.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Astle Avenue, in regards to a report of an injured deer. Animal Control Officers checked on the animal and Wyoming Game and Fish were notified.

Officers responded to an address on Cumorah Way, regarding a citizen assist.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Bridger Drive, in regards to a report of a missing person. The individual was not missing and contacted the individual shortly after Officers spoke with the reporting party.

Officers responded to an address on Elm Street, in reference to a welfare check. Officers checked on the individual and a report was completed regarding the incident.

Officers attempted to locate a vehicle described in a REDDI report on Greasewood Street.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on East 2nd North, in regards to a report of an aggressive dog. Animal Control Officers spoke with the reporting party and the owner of the dog.

Officers responded to an address on East Teton Boulevard, in reference to a report of a found dog. Shortly after Officers arrived at the address, the owner of the dog was contacted and arrangements were made to retrieve the dog.

Officers located a vehicle described in a REDDI report on West Flaming Gorge Way. Chelsey Cunningham, age 49, was arrested for Driving While Under the Influence of Alcohol (subsequent offense), Driving While Under Suspension (subsequent offense), No Insurance (subsequent offense), Failure to Maintain Single Lane of Travel and Seat belt Violation.

Officers responded to an address on East Flaming Gorge Way, in reference to an agency assist.

Officers contacted juveniles on Uinta Drive out after curfew. The juveniles’ parent was contacted and they were warned for curfew.

Officers responded to the area of Cedar Street, in regards to a report of a suspicious vehicle. Officers checked on the vehicle and reported everything was okay.
