Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:
The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on August 15, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on August 16, 2014:
Animal Control Officers responded to an address on West Flaming Gorge Way, in reference to a report of a dead bat.
Animal Control Officers responded to the area of Buckboard Lane, in regards to a report of two dogs at large. The dogs were described as a Black Labrador Retriever and a brown dog.
Animal Control Officers responded to an address on East Flaming Gorge Way, in reference to a report of a bat in the building.
Rachelle Russell, age 27, was arrested per an active Sweetwater County Warrant for Failure to Pay on a Failure to Wear Seatbelt Violation.
Animal Control Officers responded to the area of Madison Avenue, regarding a report of 5 Rottweiler’s without collars running at large. Animal Control Officers checked the area and were unable to locate the dogs.
Officers completed VIN inspections at the Green River Police Department and at addresses on: Mountain View Street, Locust Street, Clark Street, West Teton Boulevard, Logan Street and Jefferson Street.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Uinta Drive, in regards to a report of a suspicious person. Officers contacted the individual and reported they were okay.
Officers took a report regarding a Violation of a Court Order from a Green River resident.
Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Sunset Street, in reference to a report of a bat on the windshield of a vehicle.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Kansas Street, in reference to an unattended death.
Officers responded to an address on Uinta Drive, in reference to a civil standby regarding a property issue.
Officers responded to an address on Lombard Street, in reference to a civil standby regarding a property issue.
Officers responded to the Green River Police Department lobby, in regards to a report of lost property. The reporting party stated they lost a firearm. The case is currently under investigation.
Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on East Flaming Gorge Way, regarding a dog that wandered into the business. The dog had a pink camouflage collar with no tags.
Officers responded to an address on Wilderness Trail, regarding an agency assist. Officers assisted Wyoming Department of Family Services on a welfare check regarding living conditions in the home.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Monroe Avenue, regarding a medical call.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Missouri Court, in reference to an unattended death.
Officers responded to an address on Uinta Drive, in regards to a report of juveniles shooting an airsoft gun at people. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with a group of juveniles who reported finding an airsoft gun at a park that did not have any pellets and denied shooting it at people.
Officers were dispatched to the area of Medicine Bow Drive, in reference to a report of gun shots. Upon arrival, Officers contacted an individual who was lighting fireworks in the area. Officers issued the individual a citation for the Use of Fireworks.
Officers responded to an address on South 2nd East, in regards to a report of a found wallet. Officers located the owner of the wallet and the wallet was returned.
Officers were dispatched to an address on South 5th West, regarding a barking dog complaint.
Officers responded to an address on South 5th East, in reference to a noise complaint.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Uinta Drive, in regard to a report of an alcohol offense.
Officers were dispatched to the area of Uinta Drive, in regards to a report of a disturbance. The reporting party stated an unknown individual took and lost their cell phone.
The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on August 16, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on
August 17, 2014:
Officers were dispatched to an address on Hoback Street, regarding a barking dog complaint. Upon arrival, Officers noted several dogs at the residence and only heard a dog bark one time.
Officers responded to an address on Bridger Drive, in reference to a medical call.
Officers responded to an address on North 1st East, regarding a citizen assist.
Animal Control Officers responded to an address on South 5th East, in regards to a report of a cat in a trap.
Officers were dispatched to the area of Astle Avenue and Logan Street, in reference to a traffic complaint. Officers were in the area when the call came out and reported the call was unfounded.
Officers attempted to locate a vehicle described in a REDDI report on Andrews Street.
Officers completed a VIN inspection at an address on Cumorah Way.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Cedar Street, in regards to a report of a missing person. Upon Officers arrival, the reported missing person returned to the residence and was okay.
Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Bridger Drive, in regards to a report of a dog at large. Animal Control Officers contacted the owners of the dog who arrived at the address and the dog released to them.
Officers responded to an address on Saratoga Drive, regarding a citizen assist.
Officers responded to an address on Lombard Street, in reference to a report of property damage. Officers advised the reporting party regarding the civil issue.
Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on New Mexico Street.
Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Uinta Drive, in regards to a report of two dogs at large. Upon arrival, Animal Control Officers contacted the dogs’ owner and the dogs were returned to them.
Officers were dispatched to an address on East Teton Boulevard, in reference to found property. The owner of the property was located and the item was returned.
Officers responded to an address on Clark Street, in reference to a report of a hit and run vehicle collision. The reporting party stated the individual struck a fence causing damage. Officers spoke with parties involved and completed a report regarding the vehicle crash.
Robert Johnson, age 47, was arrested for Driving While Under the Influence of Alcohol.
Officers were dispatched to the area of Wilson Street, in reference to a report of a suspicious person going through a vehicle. Upon arrival, Officers contacted the reporting party and the described individual.
Officers were dispatched to the area of Upland Drive, in reference to a report of two suspicious vehicles. Officers located one of the vehicle’s that was unoccupied.
Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on South 5th East.
Officers responded to an address on Jensen Street, in reference to a report of an assault. Officers spoke with the involved parties and completed a report regarding the incident.
Officers responded to an address on West Flaming Gorge Way, in reference to a report of a hit and run vehicle crash. Officers located the described vehicle and the driver, Ryan Erdman, age 34, was arrested for Driving While Under Suspension.
The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on August 17, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on August 18, 2014:
Officers responded to an address on East 2nd North, regarding a civil issue involving property. Officers completed a report about the incident.
Officers responded to an address on East 3rd South, regarding a citizen assist.
Officers responded to an address on Cumorah Way, regarding a citizen assist.
Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Powell Street.
Officers responded to the Green River Police Department, regarding a citizen assist involving a juvenile problem.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Massachusetts Court, in reference to a 911 hang up call. Upon arrival, Officers contacted the resident and reported everything was okay and the call was accidental.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Daniel Boone Drive, in reference to a report of a missing juvenile. The juvenile was located, returned home, and reported to be okay. Officers completed a report regarding the incident.
Officers responded to Uinta Drive, regarding debris in the roadway. Officers removed the debris and the owner was identified, who returned to the location and disposed of the debris.
Officers responded to the east end of East Railroad Avenue, in reference to a subject removal. Officers located individuals who were identified and given a trespass warning for Union Pacific Railroad property.
Officers responded to the area of South 2nd East, in regards to a report of a disturbance. Officers attempted to locate the individual described in the disturbance but were unable to locate the individual.
Officers responded to an address on South 5th East, in reference to a dog at large. The dog was described as a black and white pit-bull with no collar. The dog was located and taken to the Green River Animal Shelter.
Officers spoke with a resident over the phone that had civil questions regarding property.
Officers were dispatched to an address on West Flaming Gorge Way, in reference to a larceny. The reporting party stated items were taken of a vehicle trailer at the address.
Officers responded to an address on Mansface Street, in reference to a medical call.
Officers responded to an address on Kentucky Street, regarding a found dog. The dog was described as a Corgi-mix with a collar. The dog was taken to the Green River Animal Shelter.
Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Crossbow Drive.
