Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:
The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on August 26, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on
August 27, 2014:
Officers completed VIN inspections at addresses on Honor Way and Riverview Drive.
Animal Control Officers responded to an address on East Teton Boulevard, in regards to report of a found dog. Animal Control Officers picked up a Pit-bull/Labrador mix at the address.
Officers were dispatched to an address on East Flaming Gorge Way, in reference to a parking complaint. The reporting party stated the vehicle had been parked in front of the property longer than five days.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Cedar Street, in reference to a report of a missing person. The reporting party stated an elderly person at the residence was missing. The individual was located a short time later on a walk with a friend and returned home.
Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Crossbow Drive.
Officers responded to an address on East 2nd North, in regards to a report of a hit and run vehicle crash. The reporting party stated their vehicle was damaged sometime during the last three days by an unknown vehicle.
Officers contacted a resident by telephone who reported they lost a wallet somewhere in Green River.
Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Log Cabin Lane, in regards to a report of a brown dog with no collar that jumped the resident’s fence.
Officers responded to an address on East Flaming Gorge Way, regarding a civil dispute involving property.
Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on West 3rd South.
Officers responded to addresses on Crossbow Court and Mountain View Street, regarding nuisance properties.
Officers responded to an address on East Flaming Gorge Way, regarding a civil matter.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Uinta Drive, in reference to a subject removal.
Officers responded to an address on East Flaming Gorge Way, regarding a civil standby involving property.
Officers responded to an address on Wilderness Trail, in regards to a report of a violation of a court order. Officers completed a report about the incident.
Animal Control Officers were dispatched to the area of Uinta Drive, in regards to a report of two small dogs running at large.
Officers responded to the Green River Police Department lobby, in reference to a report of a juvenile problem.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Wild Horse Canyon Road, in reference to a 911 hang up call. Upon arrival, Officers determined the call was accidental and a child had been playing with the phone.
Officers were dispatched to an address on South 5th East, in reference to a 911 hang up call. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with the resident and reported everything was okay; the call appeared to be a line problem.
Animal Control Officers responded to an address on West Flaming Gorge Way, in reference to a report of a bat at the address.
Officers responded to an address on West Railroad Avenue, in reference to a report of an assault. Officers contacted the involved individuals who reported they had a verbal argument that lead to physical contact. Officers completed a report regarding the incident.
Officers were dispatched to an address on South Dakota Street, in reference to a disturbance. Richard Brice, age 43, was arrested for Public Intoxication.
