Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:

The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on August 27, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on
August 28, 2014:


Officers transported an inmate from the Sweetwater County Detention Center to the Green River Municipal Court for a hearing.

Officers responded to an address on Madison Avenue, regarding a medical call.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Uinta Drive, in regards to a report of an injured bird.

Officers completed VIN inspections at the Green River Police Department and at addresses on: Cedar Street, Bridger Drive and Riverview Drive.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Alabama Drive, in regards to a report of a found cream colored cat.

Officers responded to an address on Wilkes Drive, in reference to an agency assist. Officers checked on the welfare of the concerned party and reported everything appeared okay.

Officers responded to an address on Bridger Drive, regarding a citizen assist. The reporting party stated someone was slandering them on social media websites.

Officers responded to an address on West 5th North, in reference to a juvenile problem. Officers completed a report regarding the incident.

Officers responded to an address on North Wagonwheel Drive, regarding an attempted scam.

Officers were dispatched to an address on West 3rd South, in regards to a report of an assault. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with individuals who reported one party left prior to arrival of Officers. Officers completed a report regarding the incident.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Bridger Drive, in regards to a report of a hit and run vehicle crash. Officers completed a report about the incident, which is still under investigation.

Officers responded to an address on Daniel Boone Drive, in reference to a two vehicle crash. One vehicle backed out of a driveway and struck a vehicle parked on the street.
Officers responded to the area of South 2nd East, in regards to a report of individuals in a vehicle lighting off fireworks.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Ironwood Street, in reference to a report of skunks at the address. Animal Control Officers checked out traps to the resident to capture the skunks so they can be relocated.

Officers responded to an address on West Teton Boulevard, in regards to a report of a juvenile problem.

Officers were dispatched to an address on West Flaming Gorge Way, in reference to an agency assist. Officers assisted Wyoming Department of Family Services on a welfare check.

Officers responded to an address on Shoshone Avenue, regarding a civil matter involving property.

Officers responded to the area of West Flaming Gorge Way, in reference to a report of two dogs at large. The dogs were described as a Chocolate Labrador and a Yellow Labrador with collars but no tags.
