Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:
The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
The following events were reported between 6:00 a.m. on September 2, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on September 3, 2014:
Officers responded to an address on Uinta Drive, in reference to a report of shoplifting. The reporting party stated an individual stole an item and without paying and they want a trespass warning issued to the individual. The case is under investigation.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Shoshone Avenue, regarding a report of accidental damage. The reporting party stated while closing the door on their vehicle the window shattered.
Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Virginia Drive, in regards to a report of a cat in a trap.
Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Ironwood Street, in reference to a report of skunk in a trap.
Officers completed VIN inspections at the Green River Police Department and addresses on: Virginia Circle, South 7th West and Schultz Street.
Officers responded to an address on East Flaming Gorge Way, in regards to a trespass issue. The reporting party wanted a trespass warning issued to an individual for the property. Officers contacted the individual and a trespass warning was issued.
Animal Control Officers received a call from an address on Clear View Drive, in regards to a report of a dog at large. The dog was described as a small Spaniel gold in color and no collar.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Schultz Street, in reference to an agency assist. Officers assisted Wyoming Department of Family Services on a welfare check regarding living conditions in the home.
Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Logan Street, regarding an injured bird.
Officers attempted to locate a vehicle described in a traffic complaint on East 4th South.
Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Logan Street, regarding a citizen assist. Animal Control Officers assisted the resident locating their dog.
Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Virginia Circle.
Officers contacted a resident by telephone, in regards to a report of a juvenile problem.
Officers responded to an address on East Teton Boulevard, in reference to a juvenile problem. Officers completed a report regarding the incident.
Officers contacted an individual by telephone, regarding a citizen assist. The individual had questions regarding the Green River area as they would be traveling here soon.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Wilkes Drive, in reference to a report of a disturbance. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with parties involved in a verbal dispute. Officers also located drug paraphernalia at the residence. Officers completed a report regarding the incident.
Officers responded to an address on Hitching Post Drive, in regards to a report of vandalism. The reporting party stated juveniles were throwing rocks at heavy equipment in the area. Officers contacted the juveniles and addressed the complaint with the juveniles and their parents.
Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on Wilson Street, in reference to a report of a dog that chased an individual.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Lombard Street, in reference to a report of property destruction and larceny. The reporting party stated a fence was damaged an items taken from their yard.
Officers assisted Castle Rock Ambulance personnel at an address on Evers Street.
Officers responded to an address on Wind River Drive, in reference to a juvenile problem.
Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Collier Circle, regarding a cat in a trap.
Officers responded to an address on East Teton Boulevard, in reference to a juvenile problem. Upon arrival, Officers contacted the reporting party who stated a juvenile had been assaulted by another juvenile.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Maryland Drive, in regards to a report of suspicious activity. Upon arrival, Officers contacted individuals outside a residence, Andrew Martinez, age 22, was arrested for Public Intoxication.
