Officers met with a resident at the Green River Police Department, in reference to a report of an attempted scam. The reporting party received a letter in the mail and a check from a "Secret Survey".
The checked was for $2000 and the reporting party was instructed to cash the check, keep $200 and send the remaining amount to two individuals in the Philippines. The reporting party recognized this as a scam and did not provided any personal information and reported no monetary loss.
