GREEN RIVER, Wyo. – Questar Gas will be replacing approximately 9,500 feet of steel gas pipeline and 107 service lines. This work will replace infrastructure from the 1950s and is anticipated to take place between May 11 and July 24. Pipeline replacement will occur at the following locations and, weather permitting, for the specified dates during weekdays:
Andrews St. May 11 – May 22
Bramwell St. & Astle Ave. May 26 – June 5
Astle Ave. May 27 – June 16
Jensen St. June 8 – June 19
Logan St. June 22 – July 10
Hoover Dr. July 13 – July 24
Streets will remain open during replacement projects, and lane restrictions are not anticipated. Customer driveways will be fully accessible and workers will finish in customer yards by 5:30 p.m. in most cases. Service line replacements could take several hours and may require Questar Gas to relight appliance pilot lights, which will be done for no charge. In observance of holidays, work will not take place Monday, May 25, or Friday, July 3.
“These improvements are part of a multi-year effort by Questar Gas to replace aging sections of pipe in southwestern Wyoming,” said Tim Sheehan, Questar Gas operations supervisor. “Such projects are necessary to maintain overall system integrity and continue providing safe and reliable service.” For additional information, please contact Tim at (307) 352-7759 or (307) 371-4767.
