Officers contacted a resident who had been looking on the internet for a company for a possible loan. The resident was contacted by an individual over the phone with a foreign accent, claiming to be with GE Capital. The resident was asked for their banking information by the caller, who said money would be sent to their account with instructions to return most of the money via money gram. The resident reported a monetary loss, officer completed a report regarding the incident.
