Officers contacted a resident who received a phone call from an individual claiming to be with Microsoft and offered to fix their Windows computer program. The reporting party did provide the caller with personal and banking information. The reporting party reported no monetary loss at this time and was unsure if their computer had been fixed.

Officers contacted a resident who reported receiving a phone call from an individual with a foreign accent claiming to be an IRS Agent. The caller reportedly called from a number that appeared on caller ID to be a Green River Police Department number. The reporting party was advised they owed money for past taxes and if they did not pay the amount, two officers with a warrant would come and arrest them. The reporting party said they could not pay the fine, would hire an attorney and hung up on the caller. The reporting party received a second call from an individual claiming to be with the IRS from a phone number with a 561 area code. The reporting party hung up again, did not provided any personal information to the caller and reported no monetary loss.
