Officers, Green River Fire Department and Castle Rock Ambulance Service were dispatched to a report of an odor of smoke in the area and a possible fire. It appeared a stove burner was left on and unattended, which caught a cloth pot holder on fire. The fire was put out shortly after an officer arrived and placed a pot lid over the cloth pot holder. No injuries were reported, the fire department personnel ensured the scene was safe.
