The Public Works Department is going to start our Crack Seal Program on Monday the 12th if weather permits. It will take them several weeks to complete the streets and requires the weather to be dry when crack sealing.
They will usually block off one side of a street at a time and it takes about 2 hours to clean out the cracks, fill them with sealant and open the street, so it can be driven on within one to two hours.
The Public Works Department will hand deliver notices the day before we do a street so that residents can move their vehicles off the streets. If weather delays us we will give another notice before we continue.
Crack sealing the streets is an important maintenance procedure that seals the water from entering the cracks which helps to prevent deterioration of the road base and asphalt structure.
