Kyle Sheldon, 21 years old of Rock Springs was arrested at the Wyoming Probation and Parole Office after a positive urine test result for marijuana. Sheldon was transported to the Sweetwater County Detention Facility and issued a citation for Use of a Controlled Substance with a mandatory court appearance into Sweetwater County Circuit Court.

Ronald Bird, 49 of Rock Springs was cited and released for Trespassing at Truman School. Bird was cited into Green River Municipal Court.

Samuel Soria, 18 of Rock Springs was arrested for driving with a suspended driver’s license after an officer observed the gold Chevrolet Tahoe Soria was driving to have numerous cracks in the windshield. Soria was transported to the Sweetwater County Detention Center where he was booked into jail and issued a citation with a mandatory court appearance into Sweetwater County Circuit Court.

Officers took a suspicious circumstance report on Riverview. The owners of a house that is listed with a realty company received inquiries from people finding an advertisement on Craigslist.com listing the house available to rent. The owners had not listed their property on Craigslist. Further investigation revealed this to be yet another computer scam from Nigeria. The Green River Police Department wants to remind citizens to be cautious when conducting business over the internet and to report any suspicious activity to the police department.

Officers investigated a hit and run at the Hutton Heights Plaza Mall.

Officers investigated a residential burglary on N. 3 E.

Officers investigated an auto burglary on Schultz St.

Cole Hallmark, 29 of Rock Springs was arrested for Public Intoxication after a business on Bridger Drive reported a male subject inside the business for an extended amount of time that appeared to be intoxicated and talking to himself. Officers arrived on scene and found Hallmark unable to answer simple questions and smelled of alcohol. Hallmark was transported to the Sweetwater County Detention Facility and issued a citation with a mandatory appearance into Green River Municipal Court.

Animal Control Officers responded to Harrison Elementary to a report of a hawk flying into a window and injuring itself. Animal Control Officers found the animal to be an owl and few minutes later the owl regained consciousness and flew away.

Officers assisted ambulance personnel with a transport of an elderly female with chest pain at the Castle Rock Convalescent Center.

Officers returned a small child to its home on Alabama after the child was found in the street. The child had been playing in the yard with siblings and escaped from the fenced yard.

Animal Controls Officers responded to a dog at large call on Clark St.

Officers investigated three complaints of reckless driving after school students were dismissed early.

Animal Control Officers responded to a report of a vicious dog in the street on Cumorah Circle. Animal Control Officers found the dog was only barking and had not tried to bite anyone. The dog was later returned to the owner.

Animal Control Officers impounded two dogs after receiving a report the dogs were running at large on Greasewood. Animal Control Officers impounded the dogs after they couldn’t contact the owners.

Officers responded to a suspicious circumstance report at Green River Auto Sales on W. Flaming Gorge. A citizen reported seeing a car headlights on in the car lot, but the business was closed. Officers found the vehicle was undamaged and the business owner was contacted.

Officers responded to a report of an intoxicated driver on E. Teton near the horse corrals. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.
