Kayla Carlson, age 28, of Green River was arrested on 5/9/11 at 17:18 hours on Commerce Way for Use or Under the Influence of a Narcotic. Officers were dispatched to Adult Probation and Parole regarding a subject who tested positive for methamphetamine and also admitted to using. Carson was transported to County jail without incident.
A 14 year old male was arrested on 5/9/11 at 16:01 hours at the Pamida Store for Shoplifting. The juvenile was caught stealing two bottle of cough syrup. He was issued a citation and given a trespass warning for the store for none year. He was then turned over to his parent.
Officers investigated six separate Auto Burglaries on Colorado Drive, Wyoming Drive, and Homestead Drive. A 15 year old male was detained at the scene of one of the Burglaries by a victim and he was later turned over to his parent. Another juvenile male and an 18 year old male were also implicated in the Auto Burglaries. The investigations are ongoing at this time. The Green River Police Department has investigated well over 50 Auto Burglaries in the past few months and all have the same theme. The suspects will check to see if vehicles are unlocked and then enter them and steal any valuables left inside. The Green River Police Department urges citizens to first lock your vehicles and not leave any valuables in them especially in plain view.
Officers investigated a report of Domestic Battery on Anvil Drive when an argument between a girlfriend and boyfriend became physical. Officers documented the scene and the alleged injuries the victim sustained and a report was forwarded to the County Attorney’s office for review.
Officers assisted ambulance personnel on Anvil Drive with the transport of a victim of a possible self overdose of prescription medication.
