Jeannette M Carroll, age 49, of Green River was arrested on 5/23/11 at 21:38 hours, on Hitching Post Drive. Officers stopped Carroll for a speeding violation and Carroll did not have her driver’s license in her possession. When asked for her name she used her sister’s name, Julie Carroll. When officer checked the driver’s license status for Julie Carroll her license came back as suspended. Carroll was arrested and was transported to jail. On the way to the jail officers learned they had Jeanette Carroll and not Julie. Subsequent investigation showed Jeannette had multiple arrest warrants out of both Municipal Court and Circuit Court. Jeannette Carroll’s driver license is also suspended and she was also charged with Interference with a Police Officer.
Jose Trinidad Valdez, age 28, of Rock Springs was arrested on 5/23/11 at 17:23 hours on Commerce Way. Valdez urine tested positive for methamphetamine during his parole visit. Valdez admitted to his parole officer he used methamphetamine on the 21st of May in Sweetwater County and he was arrested and transported to jail.
Officers investigated a traffic crash on N 4th E when a car driven by David Eickbush struck a car driven by Lisa Prime. Damage to the Prime car was estimated at over $1000 as was the damage to the Eickbush car. No injuries were reported and Eickbush was cited for Careless Driving.
Officers investigated a Hit and Run crash at 417 Barnhart Street when the driver of a delivery truck accidently backed into the side of the garage causing approximately $150 in damages. The driver left the scene without notifying the garage owner. This case is still pending further investigation.
Officers assisted Department of Family Services' personnel with a welfare check on Summer View Drive regarding the health and welfare of the children residing at there.
A bag of possible methamphetamine was found and turned in to the police to be destroyed.
