Jean Louise Olexey, age 36, of Rock Springs was arrested on 4/27/10 at 10:38 hours at the Green River Police Department. Olexey came into the Police Department for Vehicle Identification Number verification and a routine check showed her to have an outstanding warrant out of Fremont County for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Driving While Suspended. Olexey was arrested without incident and transported to the Sweetwater County Detention Center.

Nicholas Lee White, age 19, of Green River was arrested on 4/28/10 at 01:44 hours on Expedition Island. Officers were investigating an unoccupied vehicle in the parking lot after hours. Further investigation revealed White to be under the influence of alcohol and in possession of a marijuana pipe. White was subsequently arrested for Minor Under the Influence and Possession of Narcotic Equipment and transported to the Sweetwater County Detention Center without incident.

Officers investigated a crash on Upland Way when a vehicle driven by Tana Lundgren struck the rear of a truck driven by Shelly Jeppesen. Minor damage was reported to each vehicle. Lundgren was cited for Inattentive Driving.

Officers investigated a crash on Iowa Ave when a car driven by Mark Harris struck a parked vehicle owned by Larry Peterson. Damage to the Peterson vehicle was estimated at under $1000 and over $1000 to the Harris car. No injuries were reported.

Officers responded to a report of Domestic Battery on Medicine Bow Drive. A stepfather and stepson reportedly had a physical confrontation. One of the combatants left the scene and was unable to be located by officers. The case has been referred to the County Attorney’s Office for review.

Officers investigated a report of a theft of a laptop computer on W Flaming Gorge Way. A Larceny report was taken on Stage Place when an unknown person stole sprinkler system parts from the back of a flatbed trailer. Anyone with information please call the GRPD at 872-0555. A welfare check was initiated on Bridger Drive. Two girl’s bicycles were found on Ironwood Street.
