Animal Control Officers were dispatched to the Recreation Center to a report of a dog at large. The dog was located and impounded.

Officers assisted ambulance personnel at the Mustang Motel on a report of a 50 year old female possibly having a stroke. The woman was transported by ambulance to the Sweetwater Memorial Hospital.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to Wilderness Trail to a report of a friendly domesticated rabbit running at large in the neighborhood. The rabbit was impounded.

Officers assisted a citizen on Collier Circle.

Officers assisted a Sweetwater County Deputy on a traffic stop of a suspected drunk driver on West Flaming Gorge. The female driver was not intoxicated, but was suffering from a medical condition. Ambulance personnel were dispatched to the scene and evaluated the driver.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Andrews St. to a barking dog report. When officers arrived on scene no barking dogs could be located in the area.

Officers conducted a welfare check on Brandner Circle.

Officers were dispatched to a parking complaint on the 1400 block of N. Riverbend. Officers issued a verbal warning.

Officers were dispatched to a parking complaint on E. 4 S. referencing construction equipment parked on the street. Officers contacted the owner and had the equipment moved.

Officers were dispatched to a residence on N. 5 W. to a request for a subject removal. Officers determined a non-physical domestic dispute was taking place. Officers investigated the situation and determined no violent acts had occurred and stood by until the parties separated.

Officers were dispatched to a domestic dispute on Kit Carson. A 12 year old boy reported he had been slapped. Officers investigated and found it was the boy’s mother had slapped the 12 year old prior to the phone call. Officers determined no crime had occurred.

Officers assisted a motorist after a dump truck broke down on the south bound lanes of the overpass on Uinta Drive.

Officers responded to a report of a suspicious person on the 1400 block of Uinta Dr. The person was located and found to be angry over not having enough money for a motel room.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to a barking dog complaint on Keith Dr. The owner of the dog was given a verbal warning.

Officers investigated a reckless driver complaint in the 500 block of Wilkes. Officers located the driver and issued a verbal warning to the driver.

Officers investigated a burglary report on Virginia Dr.

Officers were dispatched to a parking complaint on the 700 block of Shoshone Ave. A citation was issued.

Officers were dispatched to a parking complaint on E. 4 S. Officers found vehicles in the area to be legally parked.

Officers were dispatched to barking dog on the 600 block of Jefferson St. Officers couldn’t locate a dog barking in the area upon their arrival.

Officers were dispatched to a barking dog on the 1600 block of Wyoming Dr. Officers located the dog, but couldn’t locate the owner. This case was referred to the city prosecutor.

Officers were dispatched to a barking dog complaint on the 300 block of Clark St. Officers received multiple reports of barking dogs coming from a residence on Clark St. Officers with assistance from Animal Control Officers impounded four dogs. The case has been referred to the city prosecutor.

Officers responded to a barking dog in the 600 block of Jefferson. The dog was located in Desert Trail Mobile Home Park and was impounded. The case has been referred to the city prosecutor.

Officers responded domestic dispute on the 500 block of Monroe Ave. Officers found no evidence of violence and advised the parties involved of assistance offered in the area.

Officers responded to a report of a barking dog in the 300 block of Andrews St. The dog was quiet when officers arrived in the area.

August 6, 2011

Officers responded to multiple barking dog complaints on the 200 block of Cedar Circle. The dog was impounded and the case was referred to the city prosecutor.

Officers were dispatched to a report of a drunk subject in 100 block of East. Railroad in the street. Officers responded to the area and were unable to locate the subject.

Officers responded to an assault report on the 1200 block of W. Teton. Officers arrived on scene and made contact with the reporting person. The reporting person was a very intoxicated adult male who gave confusing and conflicting statements to the investigating officers. The reporting person was evaluated by ambulance personnel. The reporting person complained of being attacked by 5 to 8 individuals, but couldn’t advise officers of the location of the attack or when the attack occurred due in part to his intoxicated state.

Officers were dispatched to a suspicious acting male subject walking on 1100 block of W. Flaming Gorge at about 0340 hours. Officers responded to the area and searched for the subject, but were unable to locate the person.

Dexter Greymountain, 21 of Green River was arrested for domestic battery after officers were dispatched to a disturbance on the 1400 block of Bridger Drive. Greymountain was arrested after officers received statements from the victim, an adult female and witnesses that Greymountain had pushed the victim and caused her to have a nose bleed. Greymountain was then transported to the Sweetwater County Detention Facility where he was booked into jail. This case has been referred to the Sweetwater County Attorney’s office.

Officers responded to a business alarm on Uinta Drive. The alarm was accidental.

Officers were dispatched to Crossbow Dr. and W. Teton for a subject removal. Officers arrived and found the report stemmed from a contractor was on site working without an inspector. The matter was referred to the Director of Public Works.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to Cumorah Way to a report of a dog at large. The dog and owner were located and warned.

Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of S. 2 E. to a parking complaint of a pickup blocking a driveway. The owner was located and warned. The owner moved the pickup.

Officers were dispatched to a report of a burglary on N. 5 W. It was determined to be a civil matter. Officers were called back to the scene about 20 minutes later and investigated a verbal domestic report.

John McCaslin reported the theft of a trailer license plate from his horse trailer while it was parked at the municipal horse corrals.

Officers were dispatched to a report of an attempted break in at a residence on S. 7 W. The reported damage may have been caused by previous tenants at this rental property.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to a reported vicious animal the 500 block of Waggener St. Animal Control Officers located the dog, but not the owners and will contact them later.

Officers were dispatched to a report of domestic violence on N 5 W. Officers determined no violence had occurred, and parties were advised to request a civil standby in the future.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to Rhode Island Place to a report of a dog at large. The dog was located and the owner given a verbal warning.

Officers were dispatched to Smith’s Grocery Store to investigate an electrical problem and possible fire there. Upon arrival officers found a power transformer box had been struck by a Dodge pickup driven by Owen Byrne, 57 of Rock Springs. Byrne was later arrested for DUI and transported to the Sweetwater County Detention Facility where he was booked into jail. Green River Fire Department and Castle Rock Ambulance arrived to the scene as well as an employee of Rocky Mountain Power. The pickup couldn’t be removed from the scene until power to the transformer box was turned off by Rocky Mountain Power. The case has been referred to the Sweetwater County Attorney’s office.

Officers were dispatched to a domestic dispute on Cumorah Way. The parties separated after police determined no violence had occurred.

Officers assisted ambulance personnel on 400 block of Nolan St. after a report of an elderly female falling in her backyard. The lady was transported to the hospital by ambulance after it was found she couldn’t move one of her legs and had injuries to her elbow.

A citizen located a woman’s purse and turned it over to police at the police station.

Officers were dispatched to a REDDI report on Uinta and E. 2 S. The vehicle was later found parked and unoccupied on Riverview.

Officers were dispatched to an anonymous loud music complaint on the 1800 block of S. Carolina. Officers arrived at the address the music was coming from and found it quiet. The residents there admitted to playing their drums, but would stop for the evening.

Officers assisted ambulance personnel at a residence on Kentucky at a report of a 72 year old male having difficulty breathing. The victim was transported by ambulance to the hospital.

August 7, 2011
Officers were dispatched to a barking dog complaint on 200 block of Clark St. Officers located the barking dogs, but were unable to locate the owner. The dogs were impounded since they couldn’t get the dogs to stop barking. The case has been referred to the city prosecutor.

Officers were dispatched to a barking dog on the 2200 block of Tennessee. The responding officer found a dog outside the fenced yard barking and trying to get back in the yard. The officer was able to get the dog back in its yard and quiet the animal.

Officers assisted ambulance personnel at a residence on N. 7 W. to a report of an 82 year old female having back pain as a result of a fall the previous day. The victim was transported to the hospital by ambulance for treatment.

Officers responded to Mansface Terrace Apartments to an alarm. The alarm was malfunctioning.

Officers investigated a report of a stolen wallet on Shoshone Ave.

Officers investigated a two vehicle crash S. Wagonwheel and Hitching Post. Kyle Kinser, 25 years old of Green River reported he struck a parked car on S. Wagonwheel while he was driving west on S. Wagonwheel searching for his wallet. Both vehicles suffered damages estimated in excess of $1000. Kinser was issued a citation for inattentive driving.

Officers assisted a citizen with questions at the police station.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to the area of 98 Uinta to a report of an injured dog. The owner of the dog was located and the dog was ok. The owner was warned about allowing their dogs to run at large.

Officers were dispatched to a residence on Butte St. to a juvenile problem. The parties were advised.

Officers were dispatched to a report of dogs at large in Stratton-Myer Park. The dogs were not located, but the owner was and advised of where their dogs were last seen.

Officers were dispatched to the Convalescent Center to a report of a snake in the back parking lot. The snake was gone upon the officers’ arrival.

Officers assisted citizens that came to the police station with questions regarding a civil matter.

Officers investigated a hit and run report at a residence on Powell St.

Officers assisted ambulance at the Oak Tree Inn. A 67 year old woman who had recently

undergone surgery, was requesting transport back to the hospital after becoming ill.

Officers responded to a disturbance at the 1800 block of W. Teton. The officers issued verbal warning to people playing loud music in the area.

Early morning hours of August 8, 2011
Officers were dispatched to a domestic dispute on the 1200 block of W. Teton. Officers arrived and found Terri King was arguing with another woman. Terri King, 21 years old of Green River was arrested on an outstanding Sweetwater County arrest warrant. King was transported to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and booked into jail.
