Justin I Nelson, age 19, of Green River was arrested on 1/17/12 at 11:29 hours on Colorado Drive on a warrant out of District Court for a probation violation on the original charge of felony Larceny. Dispatch advised Nelson called and informed dispatch he was aware he had an active warrant for his arrest and wanted to turn himself in to police. Nelson was contacted on Colorado Drive and taken into custody without incident and transported to jail.
Officers detained Elisio Parra-Rosales on an ICE Pick up and Hold Order on Flaming Gorge Way at 16:37 hours when Rosales come into the police department for a vehicle identification check. After checking with the Denver Colorado office of ICE to confirm the hold; the supervising agent advised officers to release Rosales.
Officers investigated a crash on Monroe Street when a pickup truck driven by Justin Harrison struck a car driven by Timothy Morris. Damage to the Harrison truck was estimated at under $1000 and over $1000 to the car driven by Morris. Harrison was cited for Failure to Yield and no injuries were reported.
A Malicious Mischief report was taken on W 4th N when the police were advised glass in door at the LDS was shattered by an unknown person at an unknown time. Anyone with information please call the GRPD at 872-0555.
A verbal domestic dispute was reported on E 3rd S. No physical altercation was reported.
Officers assisted Fire Department personnel on Andrews Street with a fire reported in the rear of a U-Haul truck. The fire was to personal property in the rear of the truck and the Fire Department extinguished the fire.
Officers assisted Department of Family Services’ personnel with an investigation that is based out of Utah.
Abandoned vehicles were towed from W Flaming Gorge Way on 1/17/12 at 15:40 hours by Wild Card Towing.
Officers assisted Probation and Parole agents by witnessing a drug test on Commercial Way.
Officers assisted ambulance personnel on Railroad Ave with a 93 year old male who fell and was stuck between his bed and the wall.
Officers assisted ambulance personnel on Arkansas Street with a 64 year old female who fell and struck her head.
