Jaime S Lewis, age 34, of Green River was arrested on 3/17/12 at 23:57 hours on E Railroad Street on a warrant out of Circuit Court for Failure to Pay Fines on the original charge of Driving While Intoxicated. Lewis was contacted during a bar check and the warrant was confirmed and he was taken into custody and transported to jail.
Michael R Lofton, age 49, of Flagstaff AZ, was arrested on 3/18/12 at 21:00 hours on E Railroad Street on a warrant out of Laramie County for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Battery. Officers contacted Lofton on UPRR property when they responded to a report of a fire. Lofton and two other transients had a camp fire to keep warm. The other two transients were given trespass warnings at the request of railroad personnel.
Trendon Q Velcko, age 24, of Green River was arrested on 3/16/12 at 23:43 hours on Bridger Drive for Disturbing the Peace. Officers were dispatched to 1400 Bridger regarding a male displaying a Samurai sword and yelling profanities. Velcko was contacted and warned for the violation. Police returned after a second time after hearing a disturbance as they were driving away. Velcko was contacted and taken into custody.
Michael B Lane, age 36, of Green River was arrested on 3/16/12 at 15:22 hours on Bramwell Street on a warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of No Insurance. Officers recognized Lane from prior contacts and were aware of the arrest warrant for Lane. The warrant was confirmed; Lane was taken into custody and transported to jail.
Alexandria Dietsche, age 18, of Green River was arrested on 3/17/12 at 00:00 hours on Commerce Way on warrants out of District and Circuit Court for Larceny and Speeding. Probation and Parole agents contacted police advising of the warrants for Dietsche.
A 13 year old male was arrested at the Youth Home for threatening to stab another juvenile. The County Attorney’s office was contacted and authorized the arrest.
Jeffrey L Oneida, age 26, of Green River was arrested on 3/16/12 at 19:25 hours on Daniel Boone Drive on a warrant out of Circuit Court for Probation Violation on the original charge of Domestic Battery. Oneida was contacted at his residence and taken into custody without incident.
Jason K Merrifield, age 26, of Green River was arrested on 3/16/12 at 16:30 hours on Uinta Drive on a warrant out of Circuit Court for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Driving While Intoxicated. Merrifield was contacted at his work place and taken into custody without incident.
Officers investigated a report of Domestic Battery on E 2nd N when a female advised she was punched on the nose by her husband. When officers responded to the residence she became uncooperative and asked the officers to leave her residence. The husband was interviewed and he stated he was assaulted by his wife. The incident was documented and a report was forwarded to the County Attorney’s office for review.
A Vicious Animal report was investigated on Bramwell Street at the intersection of Barnhart Street when the victim advised she and her dog were attacked by a pit bull type dog while they were out for a walk. The victim advised her dog was approached first by a lab type dog who appeared to be friendly and then a second dog, the pit bull, appeared and was very aggressive and started to attack her dog. The victim stated she attempted to protect her dog she was attacked by the pit bull. The victim was transported to the hospital where she received several stitches for her wounds. Animal Control Officers request the lady who stopped at the Animal Shelter who witnessed the attack or anyone else with information regarding a brown and white pit bull and a black lab running together please call the GRPD at 872-0555.
A Larceny report was taken on Apache Street when the victim advised someone entered his garage while he was away and stole several items including a chain saw and an electric screw driver.
Officers investigated a crash on W Teton Blvd when a Honda Civic driven by Lucas Staggs struck a parked car owned by Gayland Frye, then backed into a street sign and later struck a wooden post on West Teton Blvd. Staggs left the scene without reporting the crashes and later located by police on South Carolina Street and he admitted to driving his friends car and leaving the car at the scene when it became inoperable. Staggs was cited for Hit and Run and No Driver’s License.
Officers investigated a crash on Wilkes Drive when a truck driven by Dean Cooks struck a fire hydrant. Minor damage was reported to the Cooks’ truck and to the hydrant. No injuries were reported.
Officers investigated a crash on Uinta Drive at the intersection of Upland Way when a vehicle driven by Thomas Madura struck a car driven by Chandler Lester. Damage to both vehicles was estimated at over $1000 each and no injuries were reported.
Officers investigated a crash at the parking lot at Washington School when a horse trailer, pulled by a truck driven by Don Vercimak struck a parked car owned by Tom McCullough. Damage to the McCullough’s car was estimated at over $1000 and under $1000 to the trailer owned by Vercimak and no injuries were reported. Vercimak was cited for Inattentive Driving.
A Disturbing the Peace warning was issued on W 2nd N for loud music.
A welfare check was initiated at FMC Park when dispatch was contacted by the Wyoming Suicide Hotline regarding a despondent subject.
A Malicious Mischief report was written when an officer observed a street light had been knocked down on E Railroad Street.
