Officers responded to a report of a man with a gunshot wound to the chest on 7/22/12 at 03:43 hours at the Oak Tree Inn parking lot. Upon arrival officers found Edward Muenz on the ground in the parking lot with a gunshot wound to the chest. Witnesses advised Muenz had shot himself after a domestic quarrel. Muenz was transported by ambulance to Memorial Hospital where he succumbed to his wound. The investigation is ongoing.

Two 16 year old males were cited for Curfew and Underage Consumption on 7/22/12 at 02:39 am on Expedition Island. The juveniles were stopped for curfew and officers observed they had been drinking. They were taken into custody, transported to the police department and released to parents.

Ignacio Rodriguez-Cera was arrested on 7/22/12 at 11:10 pm on Uinta Drive for Driving While Suspended. Rodriguez-Cera was stopped for a stop sign violation and a driver license check showed his license to be suspended.

A 17 year old male was arrested on 7/20/12 at 9:05 pm on Bridger Drive for Driving While Intoxicated, Possession of Marijuana, Improper U Turn and No Insurance.

Officers took a report of Unlawful Contact on Clark Street when the victim advised she was pushed by the suspect. A report was forwarded to the County Attorney’s office for review.

Officer investigated a Forgery report on Uinta Drive when bank personnel reported suspicious activity on a customer’s account. The report is being investigated further at this time.

A Trespass warning was issued on UPRR property to two transients at UPRR workers request.

A juvenile problem was reported on Green River Way when a mother stated she is having problems with her children when she has them for visitation. A report was forwarded to the County Attorney’s office regarding a possible CHINS.

Officers investigated a crash on Monroe Street when a truck driven by Colt Caddy struck a van driven by Maria Magana. Damage to the Magana van was estimated at over $1000 and under $1000 to the Caddy truck and no injuries were reported. Caddy was cited for Failure to Yield right of way.

A Trespass complaint was taken on Schultz Street when the victim advised a subject keeps coming onto his property who had previously been warned for trespass. A report was forwarded to the City Prosecutor for review.

Officers investigated a crash on Andrews Street when a pickup truck driven by Breanna Ellsworth struck a vehicle driven by Renae Price. Damage to both vehicles was estimated at over $1000 each and two injuries were reported. Ellsworth was cited for an Improper Turn.

Officers responded to a barking dog complaint on E Teton Blvd. The owner could not be contacted and the dogs could not be impounded. The report was forwarded to Animal Control for follow up.

Officers investigated a crash at the Maverick Store when a pickup truck driven by Michael Stulken backed into a car driven by David Barerra. Damage to both vehicles was estimated at under $1000 each and no injuries were reported. Stulken was cited for Inattentive Driving.

Officers investigated a report of a dog bite on N 6th W when the owner of the dog reported his dog bit a family member. The dogs shot record could not be confirmed and the dog was quarantined.

Officers investigated a crash at the Smiths Store parking lot when a 17 year old male backed into a parked car owned by Shana Henderson. Damage to the Henderson car was estimated at under $1000 and over $1000 to the car driven by the 17 year old. The juvenile was cited for Inattentive Driving.

Officers investigated a Hit and Run crash at the Monroe Street Apartments parking lot when Christien Forton advised someone backed into her maroon Toyota Camry driving an older brown pickup truck and left the scene. Damage to the Forton car was estimated at under $1000. Anyone with information please call the GRPD at 872-0555.

A woman’s ring was found on Expedition Island and turned into the PD.

A Larceny report was taken on Cumorah Way when the owner of a black Huffy Thruster bike stolen from in front of his apartment building. Anyone with information please call the GRPD at 872-0555.

Officers investigated a Hit and Run crash on N Riverbend Drive when Kerry McKenzie reported he 1998 black Lincoln Navigator was struck by an unknown vehicle which then left the scene without reporting the crash. Damage was estimated at under $1000 to the Mackenzie vehicle. Anyone with information please call the GRPD at 872-0555.

Officers assisted Fire Dept personnel on Shoshone and W Teton Blvd with traffic control for a gas leak in the area.

Animal Control Officers responded to a report of an injured animal on Cumorah Way; a crow that could not fly was impounded.

Animal Control officers responded to a dog at large complaint of Jensen Street; the dog was returned to the owner with a warning.

Officers took a prank phone call complaint on Fawn Circle; the suspect was contacted and warned.

Officers responded to domestic dispute on Cumorah Way; the incident was verbal and no physical altercation occurred.
