Friday, July 27, 2012:
Officers were dispatched to Virginia Drive, in reference to an Auto Burglary. Upon arriving it was discovered that three (3) other vehicles on the same street had been rummaged through. The original victim reported a loss of approximately $6.00-$7.00 in cash from the cup holder. The other two (2) potential victims either declined to make a report, or were unavailable at the time the original report was taken. Any info please call the GRPD at 872-0555.
A short time later, Officers received a call of more auto burglaries on Windriver Drive. Upon arriving on scene, Officers discovered that two (2) more vehicles had been rummaged through, with an $80.00 bottle of cologne and a compact disc missing. Any info please call the GRPD at 872-0555.
Officers received a call for a welfare check on a 7 year old female, screaming in the area of 1435 East Teton. The child was located and it was discovered that she was arguing with a sibling.
Officers were dispatched to 121 South 5th West for a civil matter regarding the repossession of a vehicle loaned to a family member.
Animal Control Officers received a call for a Dog at Large in the area of Trail and Apache. Dog was located at 320 Trail and the owners were informed of the situation.
Officers were dispatched to Adult Probation and Parole, in reference to a stolen vehicle report. After speaking with the victim, Officers located the vehicle at a nearby park, at which time they made contact with an adult male, who advised he was given permission, by his girlfriend, to have the vehicle, along with the victim’s three (3) children. Victim later stated she was not dating the man and did not know how her children ended up in Green River.
Officers investigated a crash at the Rocky Mountain Car Wash, where the vehicle involved was too wide to fit in the automatic car wash, causing damage to the spray arm.
Officers were dispatched to 1135 Trona Drive, in reference to a Verbal Domestic. Parties agreed to get along and stay together.
Officers responded to Maverick, where they met with the victim of a Hit and Run crash. The victim advised that the damage most likely happened on 7/27/12, between 0800 and 1330 hrs. Anyone with possible information please call the GRPD at 872-0555.
Officers were dispatched to 98 Uinta Drive, in reference to a civil standby. The caller was requesting the standby to gather some personal property.
Officers were dispatched to the GRPD lobby, where they met with another Auto Burglary victim. It was discovered that the victim’s vehicle had been entered, while parked on Iowa Circle and approximately $40.00-$50.00 was taken from the vehicle. Any info please contact the GRPD at 872-0555.
Officers responded to an address on South 4th West, in reference to a lost cell phone.
Officers were dispatched to the GRPD lobby in reference to a lost wallet report.
Officers responded to a local restaurant, where they met with a party who wished to make a report about suspicious circumstances. It was discovered that after being terminated from their position, an employee at another business made a comment about harming themselves in front of their boss. A report was written for information purposes.
Officers were dispatched to an address on East Teton in reference to a Malicious Mischief that had occurred while a vehicle was parked in the Post Office parking lot.
Brent L Martin, age 45 of West Haven, Utah was arrested on 7/27/12 at 7:48 pm for Driving Under the Influence. Martin was also issued citations for Hit and Run Attended Property, Driver’s License Required and Eluding a Peace Officer. Officers were dispatched to the intersection of Uinta Drive at Monroe Avenue for a Hit and Run accident, where the victim had been hit from behind, while riding a motorcycle and the suspect vehicle fled the scene. The suspect vehicle was described as a dually type truck and was ultimately located by other Officers on patrol. A traffic stop was attempted on the vehicle, but the subject refused to yield and a pursuit ensued. During the pursuit, the assistance of the Sweetwater County Sheriffs Office, along with the Wyoming Highway Patrol was requested. Sheriffs Deputies were able to place road spikes on the highway, causing the passenger side front tire to deflate, but the subject continued driving towards Rock Springs. WHP spiked the vehicle several more times, causing the rest of the tires to deflate, except the rear inner dual tire. As the subject continued eastbound, the sparks caused by the metal wheels driving on the interstate began causing grass fires off the side of the road. The Fire Department was called out of the Rock Springs, to assist in extinguishing the fires. At Milepost 107, the vehicle lost control and struck a guardrail, but continued eastbound. The driver ultimately lost control of the vehicle, causing it to stall at Milepost 135, at which time he was ordered out of the vehicle, but refused. The driver’s side window was broken out and the driver, Brent Martin was taken into custody.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Evers Street, in reference to a Trespass Warning.
Officers were dispatched to the 420 Wilkes Apartment Complex in reference to a residential Burglary. Upon arrival, Officers met with the victim who informed them that they were missing approximately $362.00 in cash that had been hidden in a jewelry box. Timothy R Begay, age 45, of Green River was arrested on 7/27/12 at 10:16 pm on North 1st East, for Public Intoxication. Officers were originally dispatched to a fight in progress in the area of the Sweetwater County Library. Upon arriving, Officers located Begay and a female arguing and at that time, Begay was placed under arrest.
Officers were dispatched to the area of Hillcrest at Trona for a barking dog complaint.
Officers were dispatched to the area of 1795 New Mexico for a report of gun shots. Officers were unable to locate anything in the area that would indicate the same.
Officers assisted Ambulance personnel on Reynolds Street, for two (2) Underage drinkers that were extremely intoxicated, needing medical assistance. Both subject were taken to the hospital.
Officers responded to the 600 block of Easy Street for a barking dog complaint. Officers were unable to locate anything on arrival.
Saturday, July 28, 2012:
Officers were dispatched to the 145 Monroe Apartments in reference to a verbal domestic.
Donald R. Patrick, age 39 of Rock Springs was arrested on 7/28/12 at 1:04 am on Andrews Street at Astle Drive for Driving Under the Influence. Officers observed Patrick talking on his cell phone and conducted a traffic stop for the offense, at which time it was discovered that Patrick had been drinking and driving.
Officers were dispatched to Windriver Drive in reference to a harassment report.
Officers were dispatched to the alley behind the Green Gander Bar for a female passed out, lying on the ground. Female was helped in to a vehicle, prior to Officers arrival.
Officers were dispatched to 700 Schultz in reference to a verbal domestic.
Officers were dispatched to an alarm at the Expedition Island.
Officers responded to the Union Pacific Railroad tracks between Maverick, in reference to a trespass warning. UPRR employees wanted two (2) subjects issued trespass warnings for the UPRR property. The transients were issued the warnings and advised they would not come back on the property.
Officers were dispatched to an address on West Flaming Gorge Way, in reference to a trespass warning that the reporting party wanted issued for a private residence on Madison Street.
Officers assisted ambulance personnel with a call involving a 50 year old female at the Hampton Inn.
Officers were dispatched to Homestead Drive in reference to a Citizen Assist.
Charles C. Elliott, age 27was arrested on 7/28/12 at 4:19 pm on Uinta Drive at the overpass for Public Intoxication. Officers were dispatched to the overpass for a male subject, laying partially in the lane of travel. Contact was made with Elliott and Elliott showed signs of extreme intoxication.
Animal Control Officers were dispatched to Pheasant Drive for a call involving a badger. The badger was captured and released outside of town.
Animal Control Officers were dispatched to Vets Park, where they picked up a dog at large and impounded it at the animal shelter.
Officers were dispatched to 1700 Wilson in reference to an animal abuse case. Information on the case has been forwarded to Animal Control Officers.
Officers took a report of threats from a subject living in the 1700 Wilson Trailer Court.
Michael R. Jewkes, age 21 was arrested on 7/28/12 at 7:38 pm in the area of FMC Park for Driving Under the Influence and Furnishing Alcohol to Minors. The vehicle being driven by Jewkes had been called in as a REDDI report earlier and one (1) of the underage occupants was issued a citation for Underage Consumption.
Officers responded to the Bridger Loaf and Jug in reference to an adult male subject “hanging” around the business. The adult male was contacted and advised of the clerks concerns.
Officers were dispatched to Trona Valley Credit Union for an alarm call.
Officers assisted Ambulance personnel at the Expedition Island for a 15 year old female that was injured while swimming in the river.
Officers were dispatched to Cumorah Way in reference to a Disturbing the Peace complaint.
Officers responded to an address on East 2nd North in reference to a civil standby.
Sunday, July 29, 2012:
Kenyon D. Baker, age 19 of Green River, Jerome R. Krysl, age 18 of Green River and Kimberlee L. Straube, age 18 of Rock Springs were issued citations for Underage Consumption of Alcohol, after they were located at Roosevelt Park at approximately 2:58 am on Sunday, July 29, 2012.
Officers were dispatched to the Mast Lounge in reference to a disturbance over a taxi cab, between two (2) sets of individuals.
Officers were dispatched to the area of South 5th West in reference to a parking complaint.
Officers assisted medical personnel on South 3rd East for an individual vomiting blood.
Officers responded to an address on Arizona Street, in reference to civil questions about how to obtain personal property left at another residence.
Animal Control Officers responded to Vets park for a Dog at large call, but they were unable to catch the dog.
Officers assisted medical personnel on Medicine Bow for an individual having a hard time staying awake.
Animal Control Officers responded to the area of Scott’s Bottom in reference to a Dog at Large. Two (2) dogs were taken into custody and transported to the animal shelter.
Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on South 2nd East for a Dog at Large. Prior to arrival, the Reporting Party called the owner and the dog was picked up.
Animal Control Officers were dispatched to the area of Trail and Hitching Post for a border collie running around.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Madison for civil questions.
Officers assisted ambulance personnel at an address on New Hampshire for a female having trouble breathing.
Officers investigated a call where the subject wanted to report his stock car had been stolen. During the course of the investigation, it turned out to be a civil dispute and the stock car was returned to the subject.
Officers assisted medical personnel at an address on Monroe Avenue, after an individual was threatening suicide by consuming a large quantity of prescription medication. The subject was eventually transported to the hospital by private vehicle.
Officers assisted medical personnel at an address on Alamosa involving a small child.
Officers assisted fire personnel at an address on Riverview Drive for a fire in the residence, caused by complications from cooking food.
Officers returned to an address on Madison Drive for another citizen assist.
Officers responded to an address on North 1st East for an attempted burglary. It was discovered that the property owner broke out their own window in an attempt to get inside their residence.
Sheila K. Roberts, age 52 of Green River was arrested on 7/29/12 at 10:10 pm for Driving Under the Influence after being involved in a Hit and Run accident, causing damage to an unattended vehicle parked on Connecticut Street.
Officers were dispatched to an address on East Teton for a barking dog complaint.
