Officers were dispatched to the Golden Hour Senior Center to speak to person reporting his bank account had been emptied after sending a person he met on the internet money through Western Union. The Green River Police Department is again warning people to not send money they do not know, give out personal information on line, and to be especially cautious when sending money by Western Union or Moneygram. The police department encourages citizens to call the police department with questions before sending money, because after the money is transferred it is often too late to recover the money.
Officers responded to a residential burglar alarm on Brandner Circle. It was a false alarm.
Animal Control Officers were dispatched to the 800 block of Windriver to a reported stray dog contained at a residence. Upon Animal Control’s arrival the owner arrived and claimed their dog.
Kaylee Ulrich, 20 years old of Rock Springs was arrested at the office of Wyoming Probation and Parole on an outstanding arrest warrant. The warrant was issued for Ulrich for violating the conditions of her probation. Ulrich was on probation for a conviction of Conspiracy to Commit Burglary and Conspiracy to Commit Larceny. Ulrich was transported to the Sweetwater County Detention Center where she was booked into jail without incident.
Officers were dispatched to 98 Uinta in reference to a civil problem.
Offcers were dispatched to the city waste water treatment plant to investigate a two vehicle accident. Spencer Johnson, 22 years old of Green River backed a city owned 2006 Ford F-250 into a parked 1991 Autocar dump truck also owned by the city. Johnson was not injured.
Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an injured cat on the 400 block of Riverview. The cat had to be euthanized.
Officers were dispatched to a report of juvenile collecting cigarette butts at a business on Uinta. The juvenile was not located in the area when officers arrived.
Officers assisted ambulance personnel at a residence on Trail Dr. The elderly male was having complications with earlier medical treatment and was transported to the hospital by ambulance.
Officers were dispatched to Pamida parking lot to an anonymous report of a girl crying and being dragged into a car that left the scene. Officers later talked to the persons involved and learned it was a parent leaving the store after the child had a temper tantrum.
Officers were dispatched to the Star Theatre parking lot on Uinta to a report of a two vehicle crash. A juvenile driver not used to driving a high profile four wheel drive pickup, drove to closely to a parked car and struck a parked car with the right rear tire of the of the pickup she was driving. There were no injuries and minor damage to the pickup and the parked 2007 Honda Accord.
Officers were dispatched to a citizen assist call on the 400 block of E. 4 S.
Officers were dispatched to the Oil Can on E. Teton to a parking problem. A blue GMC pickup was tagged for removal.
Officers were dispatched to the YWCA to a fire alarm. The alarm was pulled by a small child.
Officers responded to a burglar alarm at a business on Shoshone. The alarm was set off accidentally.
Officers were dispatched to a residence on the 100 block of Cedar St. to a report of suspicious phone calls residents had received on their cell phones.
