Shane W Mitchell, age 44, of Green River, was arrested on 8/20/12, on E 2nd N for Driving While Intoxicated and Hit and Run Unattended Vehicle. Officers investigated a Hit and Run crash on E Flaming Gorge Way when a white pickup truck struck a parked red passenger car and left the scene. Subsequent investigation showed Mitchell had been drinking at a local bar and struck the car with his truck when leaving. Mitchell was taken into custody and transported to jail where a breath test showed his blood alcohol concentration at over double the legal limit.

Officers investigated a report of a vehicle Passing a School Bus on Upland Way. The suspect was contacted and he inadvertently passed the school bus when the lights were flashing. A report was forwarded to the City Prosecutor for review.

Officers took a complaint of a Fraud on Knotty Pine when the victim advised he received a letter from a debt collection agency stating he owed them $127.28. The victim advised letter was from EOC-CCA in Norwell Massachusetts.

Animal Control Officers took a barking dog complaint on Sundance Drive; the dog’s owner was contacted an advised.

A white and brown Pomeranian dog with no collar was impounded on Trail Drive for dog at large.

An abandoned vehicle complaint was taken at a parking lot on Hitching Post Drive.

A stray black kitten was impounded at Monroe School by Animal Control Officers.

Animal Control Officer responded to a skunk complaint on Ironwood Street; the skunk entered the residence through a dog door. Officer left a skunk trap with the victim.

Officers assisted Probation and Parole agents by witnessing a client’s drug test on Commerce Way.
