Animal Control Officers were dispatched to Upland near the Recreation Center for two dogs running in traffic. When Animal Control Officers arrived on scene a citizen had contained the dogs and was in the process of returning the dogs to the owner.

Officers responded to a panic alarm at Castle Rock Medical Center. The alarm was accidental.

Officers responded to anonymous complaint of a loud swamp cooler at a residence on Wilson St. Officers arrived and did not find a loud swamp cooler or anyone at the reported residence.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to a residence on Kentucky St. to a report of a bat taking up residence at that address. The bat was relocated.

Officers assisted a citizen at the police department with questions regarding camping and fishing in the area.

Officers were dispatched to the Loaf-n-Jug On Uinta Dr. to a two vehicle accident. Officers met with the involved drivers and found no damage to either vehicle and no injuries, so no report was required.

Officers were dispatched to an anonymous report of a barking dog on Virginia St. Officers posted a written warning at the residence.

Officers took a report of threats on Hackberry St.

Travis Lohman 29 years old currently of Sidney, MT was arrested on 9/10/12 at 2354 hours after a Green River Police Officer stopped the vehicle Lohman was riding in for a traffic violation. The officer recognized Lohman from prior contacts and was aware Lohman had outstanding arrest warrants. The officer had a dispatcher at the Sweetwater County Dispatch Center run a query on Lohman and found multiple arrest warrants for Lohman out of Sweetwater County Circuit Court and Green River Municipal Court. The Green River Municipal Court Arrest Warrants were for unpaid fines on charges of Disturbing the Peace, Reckless Driving, and Contempt of Court. The Sweetwater County Circuit Court Arrest Warrants were for unpaid fines on two different DWUI offenses, Driving Without an Interlock Device, Use of a Controlled Substance, and Driving with a Suspended License. Lohman initially gave a fictitious name to the officer, but later admitted to his true identity after the officer advised Lohman he knew who he really was.
Lohman was transported to the Sweetwater County Detention Facility and booked into jail without further incident.


September 8, 2012

Daniel Merrick 36 of Green River was arrested at 0116 hours after Officers stopped the vehicle Merrick was riding in for matching the description of an earlier reported suspicious vehicle. The officer identified the two occupants and later found Merrick had an outstanding arrest warrant out of Green River Municipal Court for Contempt of Court for failing to appear in court for a Dog at Large Citation. Merrick was transported to the Sweetwater County Detention Facility and booked into jail without incident.

Officers responded to a report of a juvenile problem on Riverview Dr. The report was forwarded to the Sweetwater County Attorney’s Office.

Officers met a parent reporting a juvenile problem at the police department.

Officers responded to a report of barking dogs on Pennsylvania Blvd. Officers posted a written warning on the residence.

Officers responded to a barking dog complaint on Davy Crockett. The owner of the dog received a verbal warning.

Officers responded to a trespassing complaint on Bridger Dr. Officers issued a citation to a subject who had received a verbal warning on an earlier complaint.

Officers warned juveniles playing in the area of Clark and Andrews St. The juveniles were verbally warned for being loud and of the curfew ordinance.

Officers arrested two juveniles for having consumed alcohol after stopping the vehicle they were riding in for a traffic violation. The two juveniles were transported to the police department and issued citations into Municipal Court and released to their parents.

Joshua Patterson, 23 of Green River was arrested for DWUI at 0155 hours after officers conducted a traffic stop for speeding and failing to maintain a single lane of travel. Officers detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from inside Patterson’s pickup and investigated further and subsequently arrested Patterson for DWUI. Patterson was transported to the Sweetwater County Detention Facility where Patterson was booked into jail without incident.


September 9, 2012

Jason Hall 39 of Lexington, TX was arrested for DWUI at 0032 hours after Officers witnessed Hall’s pickup traveling west on Flaming Gorge with its driver’s side tires over the center line. Officers detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from the interior of Hall’s pickup. Further investigation lead to Hall’s arrest for DWUI. Hall was transported to the Sweetwater County Detention Facility where he was booked into jail without incident.

Officers assisted ambulance personnel at a residence on Arkansas St. to a call of a 26 year old male having broken his hand in an earlier accident. The male was in severe pain and swelling to his hand. The victim was transported to the hospital by ambulance.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to a barking dog complaint on Riverview Dr. The owner was contacted and given a verbal warning.

Officers were dispatched to a residence on Oklahoma Dr. to a reported fraud. The victim reported her computer froze up after opening a supposed email from the F.B.I. This appears to be a computer virus that has been sent around the country. Citizens are advised to keep their computer anti-virus software up to date and not open emails from senders they do not recognize.

Officers responded to a report of a suicidal subject on Crossbow Dr. The subject was transported to the hospital by ambulance.

Officers responded to a residence on Monroe to answer questions a citizen had regarding a civil matter.

Officers investigated a report of unauthorized use of a vehicle on Bridger Dr. The vehicle was returned to the owner.

Officers investigated a verbal domestic dispute on the 100 block of Uinta Dr.

Officers assisted ambulance personnel at a residence on S. Wagonwheel Dr. A 27 year old female reported having sharp chest pains and was transported to the hospital by ambulance.
