Rosalio Gomez-Galvan, age 42, of Green River was arrested on 10/9/12 at 11:35 pm on E Flaming Gorge Way for Public Intoxication. Officers responded to a disturbance call on E Flaming Gorge Way involving a Hispanic male acting disorderly and destructive in a taxi cab. Officers arrived and witnessed Galvan acting aggressively to the taxi driver. Galvan was contacted and subsequent investigation showed he was intoxicated. He was taken into custody and transported to jail where a breath test showed his blood alcohol concentration was almost four times the legal limit.
Officers investigated a report of Shoplifting on Uinta Drive when a male suspect left a store with a fishing pole tucked under his shirt. The suspect was confronted by a store employee and returned the fishing pole but ran off when advised the police were notified. The suspect was described as a 30 year old male with, with black facial hair, wearing blue jeans, a black shirt and hat. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information please call the GRPD at 872-0555.
A 15 year old male was cited for Shoplifting on 10/9/12 at 04:55 pm on Uinta Drive. Store manager confronted the suspect about shoplifting a knife and juvenile admitted to the theft. He was detained until police arrived and he was cited and released to a parent.
A reported juvenile runaway was found at a residence in Pioneer Park on 8/9/12 and he admitted to using controlled substances while on the run. The juvenile is on probation and a drug test was requested by his probation officer and he tested positive for marijuana and methamphetamine. The juvenile was arrested for Use of Controlled Substances and transported to jail.
A Malicious Mischief report was taken on Shoshone Ave when the owner of a yellow Datsun vehicle was vandalized. Someone has broken out the vehicle windows. The damage was estimated at $100.
A 911 hang up call was investigated on Hitching Post Drive; the call was made accidentally.
Officers assisted Probation and Parole agents by witnessing a client’s drug test on Commerce Way.
Officers were dispatched to UPRR depot regarding a transient trespassing on railroad property. The suspect was gone when police arrived.
