Jeffrey W Morgan, age 41, of Green River was arrested on12/1/12 at 02:17 am on W Flaming Gorge Way for Driving While Intoxicated. Morgan was stopped for a stop sign violation and subsequent investigation showed Morgan to be intoxicated. Morgan was transported to jail and a breath test showed his blood alcohol concentration was over the legal limit.

Jeffrey O Winner, age 30, of Green River was arrested for Shoplifting and Interference with a Police Officer on 11/29/12 at 12:38 pm on Uinta Drive. Winner was confronted by store personnel for shoplifting and tried to run but was overpowered by store staff. He gave police a false name when questioned and he was ultimately taken into custody and transported to jail.

Terri J Blake, age 51, of Green River was arrested on 12/1/12 at 12:23 am on E Flaming Gorge Way for Driving Under the Influence of Prescription Medication, Lane Use and Use of Child Restraints. Blake was stopped for a lane use violation and subsequent investigation showed she was under the influence of prescription medication, and had two children in the car that were not secured in child restraint seats as required.

Samantha A Gemmill, age 25, of Green River was cited for Driving While Suspended on 12/1/12 at 7:26 am on E Flaming Gorge Way. Gemmill was stopped for a registration violation and a driver’s license check showed her license was suspended.

Officers took a report of a Battery on E Flaming Gorge Way when the victim stated he was hit several times in the back of the head while at a local bar. The investigation is ongoing at this time.

Officers investigated a report of Reckless Abuse of a Vulnerable Adult on 11/30/12 at 4:34 pm on Bridger Drive. Officers received a report from Department of Family Services’ personnel that a stepfather punched his 18 year old stepson, who is mentally handicapped, on the nose causing it to bleed. Family members were questioned and a report was forwarded to the County Attorney’s office for review.

A Malicious Mischief report was taken on E Railroad Street when the owner of a vehicle advised someone broke out the driver’s side window of his pickup truck and stole his cell phone. The phone was later found in the back seat of the truck.

Officers investigated a crash on Monroe Street when a pickup truck driven by a 16 year old male lost its rear driver’s side wheel and tire damaging the rear brakes. No injuries were reported and the damage was estimated at under $1000.

A Malicious Mischief report was taken on Trail Drive when the owner of a car reported someone had punctured a tire on her car causing over $250 in damages. A suspect was questioned and a report was forwarded to the City Prosecutor for review.

A Malicious Mischief report was taken on E Railroad Street when an employee of Green River Basin Credit Union report someone wrote graffiti on the side of the bank building. Anyone with information please call the GRPD at 872-0555.

A Malicious Mischief report was taken on Conestoga Lane when the victim reported someone “egged” and put ketchup on the front of her home. Anyone with information please call the GRPD at 872-0555.

A report of an attempted scam was taken on E 2nd N when the reporting party advised she received a letter in the mail advising her she had won 2.5 million dollars in a contest. The victim stated she knew it was a scam and she never entered a contest. No money was lost by the victim and she just wanted to report the scam to police.

The GRPD is investigating the death of a 78 year old female on Knotty Pine Street on 11/30/12at 8:30 pm when a husband discovered his deceased wife in their home. Detectives were called to the scene and the coroner’s office took possession of the deceased to determine cause and manner of death.

Officers assisted ambulance personnel on South Dakota Street with a male who had fallen and needed assistance getting to his bed.

Officers assisted ambulance personnel on Uinta Drive with an 86 year old female who had fallen and injured her wrist.

Animal Control Officers removed an animal carcass from Hitching Post Drive.

Officers assisted ambulance personnel on Mansface Street with a 55 year old female having difficulty breathing.

Officers assisted ambulance personnel on Crossbow Drive with a 42 year old female having difficulty breathing.

Officers assisted ambulance personnel on Bridger Drive with a 28 year old female who suffered a seizure.
