A citizen came to the police department to turn in a found wallet. The owner was contacted and the wallet was returned.

Officers assisted ambulance personnel at a residence on Conestoga Lane. A 79 year old male was transported to Memorial County of Sweetwater County after he reported severe back pain and difficulty breathing.

Officers met with a citizen at the west end of the municipal horse corrals who reported the battery from his 1988 Ford Taurus was stolen while he was walking on the Green Belt. The Green River Police Department is asking anyone who may have witnessed a person or persons tampering with the passenger car from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm to call the police department at 872-0555.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to a reported dog at large on Anvil Dr. The dog had escaped from its fenced yard and returned to the yard when Animal Control Officers arrived. A warning was posted at the residence.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of E. Teton for a reported dog running at large. When Animal Control Officers arrived on scene, the owner had caught the dog and was returning home.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to the area of Hitching Post and Indiana Streets to a report of a large white dog running loose in the area. Animal Control Officers were unable to locate the dog.

Officers were dispatched to a residence on the 200 block of Trail to a report of a violation of a protection order. The report was forwarded to the county attorney’s office.

Officers and the Green River Fire Department were dispatched to Collier Park at about 5:00 pm after citizens reported seeing three teenage males in the bushes near the ball park and smoke coming from the bushes. The fire department extinguished a fire that was limited to a pile of trash. The teenagers were not located. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the Green River Police Department at 872-0555.

Officers were dispatched to a residence on the 100 block of Uinta Dr. to a civil problem.

Officers investigated a suspicious person report on Logan St. It was determined to be a neighbor smoking in his vehicle after not being allowed to smoke in the residence.

Officers were dispatched to area of Astle and Uinta Dr. to a report of an injured deer. The deer was not located.

Officers assisted ambulance personnel at residence on Vermont Ct. after a 49 year old woman reported having severe migraine headaches. The patient was transported to the Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County by ambulance for treatment.
