Joshua S Moody, age 27, of Green River was arrested on 12/8/12 at 01:39 am on N 4th W for Domestic Battery. Officers were dispatched to a 911 hang up call that came back to an address on N 4th W. Subsequent investigation showed Moody and his wife had been in a domestic dispute and she received physical injuries. Joshua Moody was taken into custody and transported to jail.

Jason K Merrifield, age 26, of Green River was arrested on 12/7/12 at 8:50 pm on Uinta Drive on a warrant out of Circuit Court for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Driving While Suspended. An officer recognized Merrifield from prior police contacts and was aware of the warrant for Merrifield. The officer confronted Merrifield and he gave the officer a false name. The warrant and Merrifield’s identity was confirmed and he was taken into custody and transported to jail where he was also charged with Interference with a Police Officer for using a false name.

A 17 year old male was arrested on 12/8/12 at 09:58 am on Riverview Drive on a warrant out of District Court for probation violations on the original charge of Burglary.

Maddyson K Wagstaff, age 18 of Green River, David E Mert, age 18, and Garret C Smith, of Cheyenne Wyoming were all cited for Underage Consumption of Alcohol on 12/8/12 at 12:29 am on Uinta Drive. Officers stopped a vehicle for a headlight violation and subsequent investigation showed the above mentioned individuals had consumed alcohol. The 17 year old driver was cited for no driver’s license.

Bethany N Wimmer, age 20, of Green River was arrested on 12/7/12 at 4:51 pm on E Flaming Gorge Way on a warrant out of Municipal Court for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Underage Consumption of Alcohol. Wimmer was located at her place of employment and taken into custody without incident.

Marcus X Padilla, age 19, of Green River was cited for Permitting a House Party on 12/7/12 at 11:00 pm on Wilkes Drive. Officers were dispatched to a loud party complaint on Wilkes Drive and they found several minors who were under the influence. The investigation showed Padilla was the host of the party where the alcohol was provided and he was cited for the violation.

Ryan C Lundgren, age 19, of Green River was cited for Improper Registration on 12/9/12 at 3:23 pm on W Flaming Gorge Way Lundgren was stopped for displaying only one license plate on the vehicle he was driving and when the officer checked the registration he found the plate on Lundgren’s truck was not the proper registration plate for that vehicle.

A Grand Larceny report was taken on 12/8/12 at 7:40 pm when the owner of a Nissan pickup truck reported the truck stolen while it was parked at the gas pumps of the Maverick store in Green River. The truck has since been recovered in Rock Springs on 12/10/12 and the investigation is ongoing.

Officers investigated a Hit and Run crash on Medicine Bow Drive when the owner of a retaining wall advised a vehicle had crashed into the wall and caused an undetermined amount of damage to the wall and then left the scene. The investigation is ongoing.

Officers investigated a crash at the Smith’s Store parking lot when a car driven by Steven Stoddard and a car driven by Riley Hix backed into one another. No injuries were reported and damage to both cars was estimated at under $1000 each.

Officers investigated a crash on Uinta Drive when a car driven by Helen Padilla lost control on icy roads and struck a guardrail. No injuries were reported and damage to Padilla’s car was estimated at under $1000.

Officers assisted ambulance personnel on Schultz Street with a 71 year old female who was transported to Memorial Hospital.

Officers initiated a welfare check of a juvenile on Cumorah Way at the request of the Rock Springs PD.

Officers assisted Department of Family Services’ personnel with a welfare check on Wilson Street.

Officers investigated a report of an Attempted Criminal Entry on Wyoming Drive when the victim found a credit card outside her front door that appeared to have been damaged when it was used to try and open a door. The card was a generic card sent by mail. The name on the card was checked and the owner of the card was contacted and advised he never received that card.

Officers assisted ambulance personnel on Cumorah Way with a female who had fallen and needed assistance.

A vehicle key found at the library was turned over to police as found property.

Officers assisted ambulance personnel on E 2nd N with a 32 year old female complaining of back and head pain.

Officers assisted ambulance personnel on N 7th W with an 82 year old female who fell and was transported to the hospital.

Officers assisted ambulance personnel on E Teton Blvd with a 59 year old female suffering from stomach pains and was transported to the hospital.

Officers assisted Fire Dept personnel with a fire alarm at Lincoln Middle School; no fire was located.

Officers assisted Probation and Parole agents by witnessing clients’ drug test on Commerce Way.
