Control High Water Pressure
In Green River most of the water pressure is controlled through system  pressure reducing valves.  The Uniform Plumbing Code requires that water pressure does not exceed 80 pounds per square inch (psi).
 
To protect your home/business from high pressure, the City of Green River recommends that water users install a pressure reducing valve in their service lines.    

Maintaining water pressure of 80 psi or less will reduce the risk of damage to water related equipment such as water heaters, dishwashers, washing machines and hoses.
