History of Fire Department
Since 1893
The Green River Fire Department was organized in 1893, and received $50 per quarter for operating costs. Mr. E.R. Horne was made captain, and he organized a company of volunteers. Since then there have been 12 chiefs. Mike Liberty is the current Interim Fire Chief and Larry Erdmann is the Battalion Chief.

Responding to an average of 300 Calls a Year
The Green River Fire Department responds to an average of 300 calls per year. We have a contract to provide fire protection to the Jamestown Fire District.
