Overview

Welcome to the City of Green River’s Development Services. We are committed to maintaining the atmosphere and conditions that make Green River a great place to live and work. The business licensing process aims to help the business owner comply with local regulations and to make sure the business is operating safely.

All business within Green River City limits are required to obtain a business license from the City of Green River’s Development Services. This license provides permission for a business to engage in activity at a specific location within the City. A local license protects businesses by providing assurance that the business location is properly zoned for the activity being conducted and also verifies compliance with local codes. All businesses must obtain a valid City of Green River business license prior to conducting business.

Who is Required to Purchase a License?

  • Professions having offices or locations within the City limits.
  • All businesses having offices or locations outside the City limits, but conducting business within the City.
  • General Contractors and Sub-Contractors.
  • Home Occupations (home-based businesses).

Once the application is submitted, it will be reviewed and approved by Development Services. The fees must be paid upon application submittal.

Business licenses must be renewed annually. Renewal is the responsibility of the business owner.
