Art in Public Places featured at the Green River Recreation Center
The Green River Arts Council in cooperation with the Green River Recreation Center is excited to display unique and original art from local and regional artists in the Recreation Center lobby and hallways. This project was created in hopes of promoting an artist's economy in our area and for the enjoyment of our patrons and visitors. Artists who are interested in displaying their artwork are encouraged to submit an application.

The first time I had the opportunity to carve into a piece of wood and turn it into an image that I could print from, I knew I wanted to be a printmaker. I love the materials, the process and the surprise that occurs each time I pull a new image from the plate. I like to use humor to tell a story, especially about the ridiculous and painful things that happen to us in our lives.
I received my Associates in Art from Western Wyoming Community College and my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from The University of Montana at Missoula with a double emphasis in printmaking and painting. I have been able to show my work in numerous group and solo exhibits, including the Gateway Art Center and JMC Gallery, both in New York City. I have been a member of the Green River Arts Council and assisted with the annual Art on the Green in Green River, Wyoming. My series, Bent Covers is on permanent display in several libraries across the state of Wyoming. My triptych, The Party Goers can be seen at Johnny Macs in Rock Springs, Wyoming. Recently, Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County added several of my pieces to their permanent collection.
