Chris Steffen, Chief of Police reports:

The following events were reported on July 30, 2013:


Officers and Ambulance Personnel were dispatched to 320 Mansface Drive, in reference to an emergency alarm call. The call was determined to be accidental.

Officers assisted Adult Probation and Parole on Commerce Drive.

Officers investigated a parking complaint on East 4th South.

Animal Control Officers responded to an address on Virginia Street, in regards to a barking dog complaint. A short time later, another complaint came in about the barking dog and the dog was ultimately removed from the residence and impounded at the animal shelter. A report was written and the investigation is ongoing.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on Hitching Post Drive, in reference to a dog at large. Officers were unable to locate the animal upon arrival.

Officers were dispatched to Harrison Elementary School, in regards to an illegal dumping. The subjects were located and advised.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on Hackberry, in reference to a squirrel in a trap.

Officers responded to an address on Cumorah Way, in reference to a parking complaint. During the course of the investigation, the owner was contacted and moved the vehicle.

Officers were dispatched to an address on East 3rd South, in regards to a citizen assist.

Officers and Ambulance Personnel were dispatched to an apartment at 320 Mansface Street, in reference to an elderly man who had fallen and cut his head.

Officers and Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on Schultz Street, in regards to an aggressive dog. Officers were unable to capture the dog.

Officers responded to an address on Shoshone Avenue, in reference to a citizen assist.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Yates Drive, in regards to a dog at large. While attempting to contain the animal, the owner arrived and was issued a citation for Dog at Large.

Officers responded to an address on East 2nd North, in reference to a citizen assist.

Officers investigated a parking violation on East 3rd North. The vehicle was tagged and the investigation is ongoing.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to an address on Wilson Street, in reference to a dog at large.

Officers responded to an address on Clark Street, in regards to a found bicycle.

Officers were dispatched to Smith’s Food and Drug, in reference to a citizen assist.

Officers responded to the Trona Valley Credit Union parking lot, in regards to a suspicious circumstances report.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Hillside Drive, in reference to a missing 6 year old boy. The boy was located by a neighbor and reunited with his parents.

Officers investigated a report of suspicious circumstances on East Flaming Gorge Way.

Officers investigated a report of Camping in the City Limits, on Wild Horse Canyon Road. It was later determined that the person was in fact camping and they were advised of the City Ordinance.
