James M Crooks, age 19, was arrested on 10/24/11 at 07:20 hours at the Green River Police Department. Crooks was aware of Circuit Court warrant for his arrest and turned himself in to police. Dispatch confirmed a warrant out of Circuit Court for a probation violation on the original charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance. Dispatch also found felony warrants out of Gunnison Colorado for Burglary and Larceny and also a misdemeanor warrant for Criminal Mischief. Crooks was taken into custody and transported to jail.
A Malicious Mischief report was taken on Riverview Drive when the victim advised someone had spray painted her turquoise Ford pickup truck with a gold stripe down the length of the passenger side. Damage was estimated at $100; anyone with information please call the GRPD at 872-0555.
A purse was found on E Flaming Gorge Way; the owner was located and the purse ws returned. The owner advised nothing was missing from the purse.

A Nuisance Animal complaint was taken on Schultz Street when an anonymous party reported a barking dog. The owner was contacted and the problem was resolved.
Officers were dispatched to a civil standby when a female party wanted to remove her property from her boyfriend’s residence on Anvil Drive.
