Vernon J Martin, age 55, of Green River was arrested on 8/12/12 at 6:22 pm on N 5th E for Driving While Intoxicated. Martin was stopped for a registration violation and subsequent investigation showed he was intoxicated while driving his motorcycle. A driver’s license check showed Martin’s driver’s license expired in 1991. Martin was taken into custody and transported to jail where a breath test showed his blood alcohol concentration at over double the legal limit.

Randy L Maynard, age 26, of Green River was arrested on 8/11/12 at 10:50 pm on Schultz Street for Public Intoxication. Officers responded to a disturbance call on Logan Street and subsequent investigation showed Maynard was intoxicated and was involved in the disturbance. Maynard was taken into custody and transported to jail where a breath test showed his level of intoxication at nearly triples the legal limit.

Tamara Prescott, age 42, of Green River was arrested on 8/12/12 at 6:39 pm on Uinta Drive for Driving While Suspended. Prescott was stopped for a traffic violation and a driver’s license check showed her license to be suspended out of the state of Texas. Prescott was taken into custody and transported to jail without incident.

Zachary E Shumway, age 27, of Green River was arrested on 8/10/12 at 11:23 pm on Monroe Ave for Driving While Suspended. Shumway was stopped for a speeding violation and a driver’s license check showed his Utah driver’s license was suspended. Shumway was taken into custody and transported to jail without incident.

Officers cited Damian Wood, age 21, of Green River for Open Container of Alcohol, Chelsea Cooper, age 20, of Rawlins Wyoming for Minor in Possession of Alcohol, and Bryce Hamblin, age 21, of Green River for Open Container of Alcohol, on 8/12/12 at 12:26 am on N 5th E. The above subjects were all passengers in a vehicle that was stopped for a speeding violation.

Officers were dispatched to Iowa Street regarding a missing persons report. Officers took the information and the 58 year old male was later found on the eastbound I 80 entrance ramp. The subject was checked by ambulance personnel and transported to Memorial Hospital for observation.

Officers investigated a reported Burglary on Tennessee Drive when the victim advised someone entered her unlocked residence and stole prescription medication. The investigation has been turned over to the detective division for follow up investigation.

Officers took a Hit and Run crash on Jensen Street at Andrews Street when the owner of a parked white GMC 2500 pickup truck reported another vehicle struck his truck and left the scene. Damage to the victim’s truck was estimated at under $1000. Anyone with information please call the GRPD at 872-0555.

A Malicious Mischief report was taken on Madison Ave when victim reported someone damaged her lawn lights on 8/11/12 between 9:00 pm and 11 pm. Anyone with information please call the GRPD at 872-0555.

A trespass warning was issued on Colorado Drive at the request of the property owner. The suspect was contacted by phone and given the trespass warning.

Officers were dispatched to a report of a domestic dispute on Medicine Bow Drive; the incident was verbal in nature and the male half left the residence for the night prior to police arriving.

Officers assisted ambulance personnel on Cumorah Way with a 74 year old female needing transport to the hospital.

Animal Control Officers responded to a skunk in a trap on Uinta Drive.

Animal Control Officers impounded a Yorkie type dog on Powell Street that was reported to be at large.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to a report of a bat on a porch on Clark Street; officers were unable to locate the bat.

Animal Control Officers were dispatched to a report of a skunk in a trap on Faith Drive.

Officers responded to a barking dog complaint on Fir Drive; the owner was contacted and given a warning.

Officers responded to a report of a badger under a car on Daniel Boone Drive. The badger was contained and relocated.
